MEET THE PARENTS

Our son, who has prepared himself (and us) for the fact that marriage might not be in God's Plan for his life, has met a girl....an American girl
who teaches English at a university in Tibet.

She comes home once a year

during the summer for two months.

Boy-Child brought her for Sunday Dinner

so we could meet her before she flies back to Tibet.

Hubby is estimating two jobs that bid this week requiring much work at home.

I didn't have the heart to ask him to clean it all up for "the visit"

The menu.....first Hubby gathered all of his seasonings for the racks of lamb he was preparing to grill on the Big Green Egg outside....

I forgot to take pictures of the cooked lamb before we ate...

luckily there was a tad left over....

Oven-sauteed fresh green beans basted with olive oil and garlic pepper sprinkle...

Fresh cantaloupe...

and brown/wild rice cooked in chicken broth(Oops! no picture of the rice)

Jack and Bethany brought fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, and fresh basil...

and added a dash of olive oil and a little sea salt...

Beautiful...and oh, so delectable...The perfect finishing touch to our meal!

Good food, good conversation, good company...

It was so nice to meet you, Bethany!

Have a lovely day!
